Lowe-Lindemann Log Cabin

There is strong evidence that this one-room cabin once belonged to the Lowe family before Gottlieb Lindemann bought the property in 1855. It is believed that the official cabin age is 1803-1855 and is located at 13011 Huntercreek Road. The Des Peres Historical Society (DPHS) acquired the cabin in March 2026 and is working to relocate and restore it within the city limits. The DPHS enlisted the help of the Gateway Metal Detecting Club to scan the property for historical artifacts. They have unearthed an 1858 Flying Eagle one cent coin, shotgun shells from the 1880s and many other items that may date back to the 1700s.
